Soul Summons
- This new system creates a kind of faux multiplayer in which the player can have at their side other classes to emulate the multiplayer experience. As the player progresses throughout the game and with enough time spent, they're able to upgrade their Soul Summons to make them stronger or have more than 1 summon at a time.
- These summons interact with the Beacon of Hope, the teleport charm you receive upon defeating Baal in normal mode. To craft a soul summon, you need soul shards. You get these from Nightmare Baal and all the Primevils on Hell difficulty. The drop rate currently is relatively low - it's meant to be a long term investment rather than something you can grind for in a weekend. You add soul shards to the Beacon of Hope by combining the two in the Cube.
- Once you have at least 100 soul shards on your Beacon of Hope, combine your beacon with a Soul Forger to create a class token. By default, it will always be an Amazon token but you can cube it alone to change the type just like all the removers currently implemented in RMD. To add the class token to the Beacon of Hope, cube the token and the beacon together.
- Doing so will now give you a new skill to use. There are 10 different upgrade levels for these soul summons. Upgrading these summons give them better stats, better equipment, better AI, higher skill levels, etc. To upgrade your soul summons, you simply give it the amount of class tokens it needs to reach the next upgrade tier. For example, a tier 1 amazon would need 2 amazon class tokens (200 soul shards). A tier 7 sorceress would need 8 sorceress tokens (or 800 soul shards)./li>
- To have additional summons, you need to make one of every class token (700 soul shards) and cube them together to make an Expansion Token. Each additional extra summon requires an additional expansion token each time. The first slot to have 2 summons out at once is 700 Soul Shards. The second slot to have 3 summons is 1,400 shards, etc.
